The capstone project is the final course of the Master of GIS for Sustainability Management program. It is an opportunity for students to apply the skills they've learned and refined in earlier courses to a sustainability-related project with a community partner in the Puget Sound region.
The capstone immerses you in the full range of tasks associated with the application of GIS. Working in small teams, students define project goals with their community partners, perform database design, acquire and analyze data, model sustainable solutions and recommend a course of action.
Below are some examples of recent capstone projects. For more, view the full list of capstone projects.
